AIC 2025 to Spotlight Regional Growth and Sustainability, Says Securities Commission

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) – The ASEAN Investment Conference (AIC) 2025 will serve as a key platform to unlock regional growth opportunities and promote sustainable development, said the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).

SC Managing Director Datin Paduka Azalina Adham said ASEAN’s strong economic potential, bolstered by a population of over 600 million, positions the region as the fastest-growing in the world.

“AIC 2025 is about profiling ASEAN to its own people and to the broader ASEAN+3 region, while highlighting the investment opportunities and growth potential within,” she said at a media briefing today.

Organised by the SC, AIC 2025 is scheduled to take place from April 8 to 9, 2025, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event is expected to host around 400 participants from ASEAN and the ASEAN+3 countries.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officiate the conference, which will also feature prominent regional leaders including Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Singapore’s Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance Chee Hong Tat, and Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.

Azalina also announced that during the conference, the Prime Minister will launch the ASEAN Simplified Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Disclosure Guide—a new initiative designed to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in supply chains adopt sustainable business practices.
